Floatation Therapy at Kokoro in Owen Sound

DO :
*Arrive on time. We recommend 20 minutes prior to your first session and 5 minutes early for subsequent appointments. If you arrive late, your float time will be shortened accordingly.
*Give yourself enough time! We suggest 1.5 hours for an hour float and 2 hours for a 1.5 hour float. This gives you time to relax before heading back out into the world.
*Shower before entering the tank using the Pre-Float soap only, as well as ensure all small cuts and scratches are covered up with waterproof dressing (provided). This is for hygiene purposes as well as because the salty environment of the float tank will make those cuts sting!
*Shower after your float. This time you can also use the shampoo and conditioner provided.
*Ask any questions you might have beforehand
*Rinse your ears off after your float to prevent salt crystallization. We provide you with foam earplugs but if you have a hole in your ear, you should bring your own silicone earplugs to wear.
DON’T :
*Book an appointment if you require assistance in and out of the tank without talking to us first
*Shave or wax 12 hours before your float, the salt water will be unpleasant
*Book an appointment if you are menstruating and don’t plan on using proper protection (tampon or preferably menstrual cup)
*Book an appointment if you have any of the following :
      – Incontinence
      – Infection skin or respiratory disorders
      – A high-risk pregnancy without Dr’s approval first
      – Epilepsy or serious mental health conditions
      – Gastrointestinal issues that could soil the tank
      – Freshly dyed hair (bleach is ok, hair must be running clear) or chemically altered hair (straightened or permed)
      – Freshly applied artificial tanning products
*Consume alcohol or stimulants before your float
*Eat a heavy meal 3 hours prior to your float
*Take too long to shower afterwards. We need to prepare the room for the following appointment. We do provide a hair dryer and some beauty supplied in the bathroom for you.
***Please note***
The water goes through a thorough filtration and UV system and we manually test the water quality after every float. If we require to clean and/or drain the tank after your float, you could be charged a cleaning fee of up to $2000.
